We’re stoked you’re joining us for a weekend of waves and good vibes! Before we dive in, here are the not-so-fun (but necessary) bits you need to know to keep things smooth, safe, and transparent for everyone.

💬 What You’re Agreeing To

By booking a course with Lauren Ringer, you’re agreeing to the following:

• You understand the risks. Surfing is heaps of fun—but like any ocean activity, it comes with a bit of risk. You acknowledge those risks and accept full responsibility for your participation.
• You’re fit, healthy, and can swim. You confirm that you’re physically capable of participating in a surf course, you’re confident in the ocean, and you don’t have any medical conditions that could be affected by this activity.
• You’re happy to get medical help if needed. If anything happens while you’re with us, you give us permission to organise medical treatment on your behalf if it’s needed.
• You’re okay with us taking pics. We sometimes snap photos or take videos during the course. These may be used on our website or socials. If you’d prefer not to be featured, just let us know and we’ll make sure you’re not included.

💸 Cancellations & Changes

We get it—plans change. Here’s how cancellations and reschedules work:

• More than 21 days’ notice
  Cancel and get a 70% refund, or opt for a 100% credit to use on a future course.
• Between 14–21 days’ notice
  No refunds, but you’ll get a 60% credit to use on another course.
• Less than 14 days’ notice
  Sorry, we can’t offer a refund or credit this close to the start date, as your spot has been secured and we can’t refill it in time.
• Early bird tickets
  These are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Can’t make it?
  You’re welcome to transfer your booking to someone else —just flick us an email with their name and contact info at least 48 hours before the course starts and we'll do the rest.
• If we have to postpone
  If we need to delay a course due to weather or something else outside our control (lightning, cyclones, etc.), we’ll reschedule it and your spot will automatically transfer. If you can’t make the new date, we’ll issue a credit valid for 12 months.

📬 Stay Connected

By joining us, you agree to receive the occasional email from us (think course reminders, surf tips, and special offers). You can unsubscribe anytime, no hard feelings.

📍Legal Stuff

This agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand. By booking with us, you agree not to bring any legal action in another country.
